Founder of The Recharge Company Hidde de Vries at Den Haag FM
Someone who is comfortable in their own skin is more positive in life and performs better. For himself and for his company. The Recharge Company helps with that with vitality programs, coaching and customized training programs. Founder Hidde de Vries came to talk about it in the program The Good Cause on Den Haag FM. For employers, making sure their staff is enjoying themselves quickly pays off. In companies that offer vitality programs, productivity is on average 35 percent higher than in other companies. Individuals can benefit preventively, but the method is not yet reimbursed by insurers. "To expedite that we are working with a knowledge center, science and hospitals to demonstrate what the effects are," says Hidde. "Companies that offer this to their staff are also repeating it. That people spend a week with themselves once a year. That's enough to get back to health after that."
"The Hague could still use some vitality," says Hidde, who nearly suffered burnout himself in late 2010, scrambled up, quit his job at Google and started his own company full of new energy. "We are now setting up a program to help women who have breast cancer and have had chemo rehabilitate as quickly as possible."
