In the summer of 2018, 240 employees of recruitment specialist YoungCapital attended the 5-day *Recharge* program.
And with success: participants reported living a healthier and more active life and feeling more energetic after completing the program. In addition, participation in the program had a positive impact on mental resilience.

YoungCapital is a young company, with an average age of 28. With 1,300 employees, an ideal party to conduct research focusing on employee vitality.
Marcia Goddard, a neuropsychologist and behavioral scientist at YoungCapital, does everything in her position to keep employees as healthy as possible.
"We want to take good care of our people, which is why a vitality program is of interest to us. But this must be done in an informed way," Marcia says. One of the initiatives she has researched in this area is the Recharge-program from The Recharge Company.
"To test the effectiveness of the vitality program on the well-being of our people, we jointly set up a scientific survey of our employees." About the results of the program and the results of the survey, Marcia is very positive:
- The Rechargers ate 50% more fruit after completing the program and were still doing so four weeks later.
- 2 in 3 Rechargers started paying more attention to active living. They started moving more and exercising intensively more often. This effect was evident even several weeks later.
- The Rechargers reported feeling 13% more energetic after completing the program. This percentage remained the same until the last meeting after 4 weeks.
- The Rechargers reported thinking more consciously about their futures better coping with setbacks.
- Their view of setbacks also changed: they were more likely to see previous experiences as something from which they could grow stronger.
- After 4 months, more than half of the Rechargers say they are still working on parts from the #Recharge To maintain one's own vitality.
Neuroscientist Marcia Goddard is very pleased with the results of the study:
"These results show that the Recharge-program fits well with our target audience and contributes to the HR policies we have in place."
